Pythagorean Universe at FQXi Contest

by alexeyburov

Dear colleagues,

Some of you may recall a recent talk titled Nature of the Laws of Nature, where discoverability of the latter was discussed in the context of a ‘Mathematical Democracy’ proposed by Max Tegmark. Recently the article on which the talk was based, Genesis of a Pythagorean Universe, has been submitted to an essay contest at the Foundational Questions Institute (FQXi).

I would like to invite you to discuss and vote for this essay and others in the context on the provided forum, where you will find some of the intelligent physicists, mathematicians and philosophers doing the same.

Ironically, this paper, which refutes one of Tegmark’s most known ideas, is presented to the institute of which he is the scientific director.
